Organize Your Pitch Deck
With your content in and slides built, you'll want to work back through it an make sure everything is where it should be.Slide Order to Tell the Story
The order your slides go in is up to you. You want it to tell your story in the most impactful way possible. Feel free to create a few versions where you try different arrangements of the story to see which flows the best. You may want to keep them where they are. The order we’ve presented here is a fairly tried and true approach, but doesn’t mean it’s what you have to use.
Remember to keep it as concise as possible. Read and re-read, how your headlines flow to the content, how you transition between slides. Observe how your eye travels around.
Have your important points ready to visually emphasize. When you feel you content is in place and you’re satisfied with it, it’s time to go to the next section, Branding Your Story.
The Appendix
This can be a collection of slides not considered part of the main presentation. These are valuable for customizing the presentation for different audiences (and levels of confidentiality).
If something seems important, but feels like it interrupts your story, it might belong in the Appendix.
Some common slides to put here:
- Why Now
- Future Plans or Phases
- Financial Models
- Product Development Detail
- Go-to-Market Detail
- Revenue Models Detail
- Strategic Partnerships
